Our NRI Services

From onboarding to ongoing portfolio management — we handle the complexity so you don't have to.

✈️

Invest from Abroad

Stay financially connected to India without being physically present. We manage everything from KYC to on-ground execution — including coordinating Power of Attorney with a trusted family member in India when physical signatures are needed.

Real outcome: A US-based tech professional had his entire NRI-compliant portfolio — mutual funds, debt, and equity — set up and executed digitally, with a PoA structure that made transactions seamless across time zones.
🌐

Invest Globally & Locally

Diversify smartly across borders. We help you balance risk and growth between Indian and international assets — so your portfolio reflects your life, not just your geography.

Real outcome: An NRI in Malaysia with ₹2 Cr surplus and a globally uncertain future received a cross-border strategy spanning Indian markets, Malaysian instruments, and US-based funds aligned to his son's education path.
📈

Grow Wealth in India

Put your surplus capital to work back home. From mutual funds to equity and unlisted businesses, we build high-conviction portfolios in India for you — aligned to your goals and risk appetite.

Real outcome: A 36-year-old professional in Ghana with ₹4 Cr net worth deployed ₹1 Cr of fresh capital into a high-conviction portfolio of listed equities and selectively chosen unlisted businesses.
💸

Repatriate Funds Easily

Bring your Indian capital home — smoothly and compliantly. We handle RBI limits, Form 15CA/15CB filings, CA coordination, and multi-year repatriation planning for larger amounts.

Real outcome: A US resident who wanted to move all her NRO capital back to the US navigated a complex two-year repatriation process — Form 15CA/CB filings, tax returns, and bank coordination — entirely handled by our team.
🔄

Switch from PIS to Non-PIS

If PIS compliance feels unnecessarily restrictive, we migrate you to a non-PIS NRO structure — closing the PIS account, relinking demat and trading accounts, updating bank mandates, and reconciling past trades.

Real outcome: A UK-based NRI investor gained full operational flexibility after a clean PIS-to-non-PIS migration — with clear guidance on how future transactions would be taxed under the new structure.
🗂️

Explore More Solutions

Your financial life abroad doesn't fit a standard template — neither do our solutions. Whether it's succession planning, insurance gap analysis, or a completely bespoke cross-border strategy, we build around your situation.

Real outcome: A Dubai-based NRI concerned about inheritance for his foreign-national children received a complete succession restructure — NRO to NRE migration, folio nominations, FCNR deposits, and Will alignment.

Real NRIs. Real Outcomes.

Every story is unique. These are a few that capture what thoughtful NRI financial planning actually looks like in practice.

Rohan

Rohan wanted to maintain a financial presence in India for diversification and family responsibilities — but managing investments from the US meant paperwork, regulatory complexity, and the need for trusted on-ground execution. We handled digital onboarding, NRI-compliant KYC, NRE/NRO account setup, and coordinated a Power of Attorney with a family member for physical transactions. His portfolio now spans mutual funds, debt, real estate, and equity — reviewed regularly, tracked transparently.

"The PoA structure Tequity set up changed everything. Transactions that once felt impossible from abroad are now seamless."
★★★★★
Sachin

Married to a Japanese national, with no plan to return to India, Sachin had ₹2 crores to invest but no clarity on where life would take his family next. His 9-year-old son's education planning was paramount. We mapped scenarios, aligned priorities, then built a diversified global strategy — Indian markets for long-term growth, Malaysian instruments for local access, and US-based funds for his son's likely higher education path.

"Tequity didn't force me to choose a path — they built a plan that works regardless of where we end up."
★★★★★
Medha

Medha had invested in India for years through an NRO account, without understanding the repatriation implications. When she decided not to return to India, moving her capital to the US became urgent — and complicated. Annual RBI caps, Form 15CA/CB requirements, CA certifications. We managed the entire two-year process: bank coordination, tax filings, compliance, and Indian income tax return filing. Today, all her capital is safely back in the US.

"I had no idea how complex repatriation could be. Tequity handled every step — I just had to sign."

NRI Investing — FAQs

Can NRIs invest in Indian mutual funds?+
Yes. NRIs can invest in Indian mutual funds through NRE (fully repatriable) or NRO (repatriation up to $1 million/year) accounts. We handle the onboarding, KYC, and ongoing portfolio management on your behalf.
What is the difference between PIS and non-PIS for NRIs?+
PIS (Portfolio Investment Scheme) requires RBI reporting for every equity transaction and is routed through a designated bank account. Non-PIS allows equity investment through an NRO account without RBI reporting — though the funds become non-repatriable. The right structure depends on your repatriation intent and investment frequency.
What is Form 15CA and 15CB — and do I need them?+
Form 15CA is a self-declaration by the remitter; Form 15CB is a certificate issued by a Chartered Accountant confirming tax compliance. Both are mandatory for repatriating funds from an NRO account above threshold amounts. We coordinate the entire process — including liaising with a CA for 15CB certification.
Can NRIs invest in unlisted equities in India?+
Yes, with the right structuring. NRIs can invest in unlisted shares through an NRO account linked to an NRO demat account. We selectively identify high-quality unlisted opportunities and guide you through the compliance requirements.
Do I need to be physically present in India to invest?+
Not at all. We facilitate completely digital onboarding and can structure a Power of Attorney with a trusted family member in India for transactions that require local presence. Most portfolio management — including KYC, fund selection, and rebalancing — is handled remotely.
